Red might seem like the standard color to wear during the holidays, but green is just as expressive. "Red can be intimidating, and a deep festive green can be worn in any season — winter, fall, spring — you name it," suggests Love. A pop of green through a coat or accessory can be a way to spice up your outfit with the shade. Or if you want to lean fully into green, Love recommends picking out a top or sweater, like the one below. "These looks would be great for an office holiday gathering, a dinner with friends, a neighborhood hang — they are very versatile," she adds."

Warm holiday
Although it might seem that everyone is experiencing the colder weather, some parts of the world are still enjoying the heat this holiday season. For those in a warmer climate or traveling to some place tropical, Love says knits aren't the only attire that can express your festive pride. Case in point: velvet, flannel and feathers. "These looks are super casual but with a seasonal flair, and could be worn over and over again for fun occasions," she notes. Each piece can be layered with a coat or jacket for when it does get cool, and can be paired with other styles to wear through each season.

"Maybe your family is staying in and watching the ball drop this year — but that doesn’t mean you can’t get in on the fun also," says Love. Instead of cotton, fleece or other fabrics, she suggests opting for satin pajamas because they combine both comfort and style (And you can wear them year-round!).
